Chambers to Ivey Morris etals This indenture made the thirteenth day of October one Thousand eight hundred and seventy nine between James E. Chambers of Chambers County, Alabama of the first part and Ivey Morris and William Barnes and Jno T. Holiday of Chambers County, Alabama as Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South of the second part witnesseth that the said James E. Chambers as well and for and in consideration of the love and affection he bears toward the said Methodist Episcopal Church South as for the sum of one dollar lawful money of the United States to him in hand paid by the said Trustees of the second part at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged his given granted, alained, enfeoffed, released , conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does give, grant, alain, enfeoff, release , convey and confirm under the said trustees and their successors in office so long as used as a place of worship all commencing on the west line of the east half where the Collins Ferry Road crosses it of section thirty-six Township 21, Range 28 running due east on the Collins Ferry Road so as to take in Hopewell Church and grave yard on the south of said road, then south-west and north to the beginning corner on so as to include three acres together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances there unto belonging.
