Atlanta, Georgia Saturday Morning, August 23, 1879 West Point's First West Point, Ga., August 22 - The first bale of new cotton was brought in yesterday by Mr. A. C. Huguley, of Chambers county, Alabama, and was sold to Eady & Co., at 12 1/2c. Farmers are now busy saving fodder, but the showery weather interfears with the work. The corn crop will be short. Additional Comments: I beleive this is Amos Clinton Huguley, son of George H. Huguley & Gabrella (Arabella) Alice Dallis. Amos was a sister of my husband's GG Grandmother, Ada Alice Huguley, wife of Lafayette Lanier.
