An Appreciation.
	Editor The Sun: - The colored people take this method of expressing 
their solemn regret in the loss of so many of the citizens of this part of the 
County. The colored people feel that they have lost friends and counselors in 
the following:
	Messrs. Marshall Hurst, F. Johnson, N. Wheeler, John Higgins, Jr. and 
Sr., Simeon Higgins, Jas. Daniel, T. Higgins, F. Bachus, W. J. Lee, Jas. 
Collier, J. L. Higgins, H. D. Pearson and many others too numerous to mention.
	Mr. Hurst shook the scribe’s hand a few days before his demise and gave 
encouragement that ever shall be remembered.
	We take this method of manifesting our appreciation of favors shown us.
