The LaFayette Sun March 19, 1952
Undergoing a course of instruction in damage control at the Fleet Training 
Center, Norfolk, VA is James C. DeLoach, engineman, fireman, USN. Husband of 
the former Miss Mildred B. Smith of Shawmut, AL.
DeLoach entered the Navy in June 1942.
The course is designed to instruct personnel in the practical techniques used 
to control and repair damages aboard ship.
