The Chattahoochee Valley Times October 5, 1916    
Mr.  J.  O.  Bell
 Died Tuesday

  Mr.  J.  O.  Bell, who had been living at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John 
Strickland, the past year or two, died Tuesday afternoon.
  He had been ill quite a long time and is said to have suffered from pellagra.
  The body was interred Wednesday afternoon at Lanett Cemetery.
