Mrs. Brown
Valley - Mrs. Fay Carol Boswell Brown, 69, of Valley died Saturday, Nov. 12, 
1994, at her residence. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. 
at Happy Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Aikens officiating. Burial 
followed in Johnson Memorial Gardens in Valley. Mrs. Brown is survived by 
three daughters, Nancy Gawze of Valley, Gwen Waites of Lanett and Shelia 
Robinson of Auburn; her son, Grover Lee Brown of New Site; two sisters, Joyce 
Posey of Louisiana and Annie Edney of Mississippi; her brother, Joseph Boswell 
of Louisiana; and nine grandchildren. Born Sept. 29, 1925, in Shreveport, La., 
Mrs. Brown was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. She was a former 
operator with Southern Bell Telephone Co. Johnson Brown Service Funeral Home 
in Valley handled arrangements. 

Additional Comments:

Fay Carol Boswell Brown's husband was Grover L. Brown and he was the son of 
James "Jim" Robert Brown and Nancy Elizabeth Prestridge. Fay's husband is 
buried in Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Omaha, Randolph County, 
Alabama.
