Mrs.  Martha Coley Laid To Rest at Fairfax, Tuesday

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Fairfax Baptist church 
for Mrs. Martha Eugene Coley, 70 who died Monday morning from a heart attack 
she sustained one week ago.  Rev.  W. A. Smith, assisted by Revs. Pinkard and 
Chambers, conducted the funeral.  Interment was at Bethlehem church cemetery, 
Johnson & Co., officiating.

  Mrs. Coley was born in Houston county, Alabama, in 1868.  She is survived by 
four daughters and two sons.  Mrs. Page Thompson, Mrs. John Tippin, and Oneal 
Coley all of Fairfax.  Mrs.  Ross Yates of Opelika, Mrs. A. C. Kingry, of 
Cottonwood, Ala., and John Coley, of Chipley, Fla., two brothrs, R. T. Culver 
of Ashford, Ala., and L. T. Culver, of Troy, Ala.; eight grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.

  Pallbearers who officiated at the funeral were Howard Burroughs, J. W. 
Wright, Earl Gresham, M. G. Edge, Jesse Bridges, Lewis Land and Evans McGee.
