  Funeral Services Held For G. N. Duffey, At Glass

  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Bethlehem 
Baptist Church at Glass, for George Newton Duffey, 46 with Rev.  W. A.  Smith, 
officiating, assisted by Rev.  J. W.  Chambers and Rev. L. E. Kelly.  Interment 
was in the cemetery at Glass, with Johnson and Company in charge.

  Mr. Duffey was born in Chambers county, and for many years had lived in the 
Valley.  He was a member of the Baptist church in Langdale.  Surviving him are 
his wife; one son, Belford, of Fairfax; his father, W. J. Duffey of Langdale; 
four sisters:  Mrs.  W. T.  Edge, of Opelika; Mrs.  J. R.  Kinney, of Fairfax; 
Mrs. McBrowning , of LaGrange, Ga.; Miss Fellie Lee Duffey, of Langdale; nine 
brothers:  L. P., of LaGrange, Ga.; W. F. Pickwich; Term; Velton, Hogansville, 
Ga.; Simmitt, Shawmut; Clyde, Junior, Terance, O'Neal, and Harold, of Langdale.
