 William J.  Duffey of Langdale Dies Suddenly Tuesday

  William James Duffey, 75, of Langdale died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at 
the family residence.  Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church 
Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. L. E. Kelly, assisted by the Rev. J. D. Dollar, 
T. H. Johnson and C. M. Pinkard, officiating.

  Mr. Duffey for many years was engaged in the dairy business in Langdale.  He 
was active in church work and beloved by a wide circle of admiring friends.  
Although he had been in failing health for several years, his death was 
unexpected.

  He is survived by his widow and the following children:  Mrs.  W. T. Edge, of 
Sylacauga; L. P. Duffey, Mrs. J. M. Browning and Miss Nellie Lee Duffey of 
LaGrange; C. V. and Terrance Duffey of Hogansville; W. F. Duffey of 
Chattanooga; Clyde and Junius Duffey, of Langdale; J. C., O'Neal and Harold 
Duffey, of Shawmut; and Mrs.  J. R. Kinney of Fairfax.

  Burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery at Glass, conducted by Johnson and 
Company.
