  OPELIKA - Mr Vernon L Holman, 60, of Opelika, formerly of Valley, died 
Friday at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

  Graveside services were held Sunday at 3 pm at Glass Cemetery in Fairfax 
with the Rev Jack Sharpe officiating.

  Mr Holman is survived by one daughter, Valerie Heath of Valley; and one son, 
Scotty Holman of Valley.

  A native of Fairfax, Mr Holman was employed by Uniroyal in Opelika.
The family received friends Saturday evening from 7-9 at Johnson Brown Service 
Funeral Home in Valley.

  Johnson Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley is handling arrangements.
