HADAWAY VALLEY — Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Hadaway, 73, of Valley died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tuskegee. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown- Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Dairold Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery. Mr. Hadaway is survived by his wife, Tommie Lou Hadaway; three children, Kenny (Rhonda) Baker of Anniston and Danny (Toni) Hadaway and Susan (Tony) Watts, both of Valley; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice (Van) Holman of Opelika; six brothers, Clinton (Sarah) Hadaway of Valley, Rolyn (Sheila) Hadaway of Opelika, Sterling (Sherry) Hadaway of Salem, Barry (Elaine) Hadaway of Cusseta, Gary (Karen) Hadaway of Brundidge, Ala., and Jeff (Pam) Hadaway of LaFayette; and his stepmother, Vivian Hadaway of Valley. Mr. Hadaway was born Sept. 11, 1936 in Fairfax. He was a retired employee of the P.F. Moon Company. Mr. Hadaway was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, daddy and Poppa. Mr. Hadaway loved his work. He was a member of the Christian faith. Mr. Hadaway loved the Lord, singing and playing his guitar. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
