He was about 70 years of age and unmarried. He was an uncle of Mrs. M.W. Carlisle and Mrs. G.C. Freeman of this city. The interment was in the family burying ground Monday. ************************************************* From the August 24, 1904 LaFayette Sun: Double Head - We are pained to see the death of Mr. S. T. Higgins, who died August 3, 1904. None knew him, but to love him, for he was indeed a Christian. His remains were interred in the family cemetery near Mr. Sim Higgins.
