Lanett, Ala. -  Claude Whatley Higgins, 71, Lanett, died Monday at Lanier 
Memorial Hospital in Langdale. 
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Heights Baptist 
Church, Lanett, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Langdale.
Mr. Higgins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Thompson Higgins, Lanett; 
two sons, Charles Higgins, Shawmut, Ala. and Thadford Higgins, Cummings, 
Ga.; one sister Mrs. Laura Dunn, Hueytown, Ala.; three brothers, John T. 
Higgins, Birmingham; S. G. Higgins, Towanda, Pa., and H. G. Higgins, 
Columbus, G.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
