FORMER LAFAYETTE RESIDENT PASSES IN FLORIDA

Mrs. W. D. Newman, a former resident of LaFayette, died in Plant City, Florida 
and was buried at Five Points May 31st.  Funeral was conducted from Five 
Points Methodist church with Rev. C. E. Kaylor in charge. Burial in Five 
Points cemetery.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Ed. Higgins, Mrs. Bill Wheldon of Plant 
City, Florida, Mrs. Roberta Henry of New Orleans; 2 sons Ernest Newman of 
LaFayette and Ocie Newman of Camp Hill; 18 grand children, 9 great grand 
children. Grandsons were all pall bearers.

Mrs. Newman had lived in Florida for the past several years, and had made many 
friends there, as was shown by the beautiful floral offerings.
