Mrs. Nixon

Mrs. Lois Daniel Nixon, age 68, of Route 5, Franklin passed away June 15, 1984 
in St. Joseph Hospital [Atlanta, Fulton Co., Ga.] after a brief illness.

Mrs. Nixon was a native of Chambers County, Alabama, a resident of Heard County 
for the past 43 years and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nixon of Marietta; one sister, 
Mrs. Ruth Dukes, Lanett, Ala.; one brother, Jobie Daniel, Hughley [sic – 
Huguley], Ala. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 17, 1984 at 3:00 p.m. from the 
Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Hulet Prince, Rev. Bob Schoenhoven, and 
Ridley Herren officiating.  Music was rendered by Mrs. Barbara Rivers and 
sons.  Pallbearers were Floyd Rivers, Lemuel Rivers, Carlton Rivers, Keith 
Rivers, Fred Baughn, and Glenn Baughn.  Interment was in the church cemetery.

Eaves Funeral Home of Franklin was in charge of arrangements.

Nixon, Grandfather of Mrs. Bowen.
