Valley Times News, Lanett, Alabama
     Mrs. Sarah Frances Smith, 89, of Valley died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002 at 
George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
     Grave side services are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at 
Fairfax Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Williams officiating.
     Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Niles Dudley Smith; her sister, 
Johnnie Marie Wilson of Frankfort, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews.
     Born Dec. 4, 1912 in Mississippi, Mrs. Smith was a retired school 
teacher, having taught in many of the area's schools. She was a member of 
Fairfax United Methodist Church.
     The family respectfully declines the gift of flowers and asks that 
memorials be made to Fairfax United Methodist Church in her memory.
     Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley is handling arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Her maiden name was also Smith.
