Mrs. LUCY PATE was born November 11, 1821, and died October 23, 1900. She joined the Primitive Baptist Church before the split, (referring to the division among the Baptists) and while many went off with the mission party, she remained firm in the faith. She joined Mount Pisgah Church 45 years ago, where she lived a consistent member until her death. She leave two daughters-both members of the old church where she lived and was buried... She esteemed it a great privilege to attend her meetings, and expressed a desire during her last illness to be able once more to attend preaching, but never did... Written by (Elder) JOHN T.
