Ruffin died Sunday at Home of Son Mr. George W. Ruffin, aged 68, died Sunday at the home of his son, Mr. Jim Ruffin, on Route four, West Point. Mr. Ruffin had been in his usual health, and his death came suddenly as he was seated on the front porch. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Fredonia, and was highly respected citizen. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Ruffin was survived by his wife and seven children, Jim Ruffin, Johnny Ruffin of West Point; and William Ruffin of Cottandale, Fl; Mrs. Mary Moore of West Point; Mrs. Jack McCard of Thomaston, GA and Misses Esther and Louise Ruffin of West Point. Funeral services were held at the Lanett Baptist church at 2pm Tuesday, Rev. Paul E. Weekley, of Five Points, officiating, and interment was in Lanett cemetery, Johnson & Blakely, funeral directors in charge.
