Death of Mr.
   J.  R.  Simms

  Mr. J. R.  Simms of Atlanta, formerly well known here, but who had been a 
resident of Atlanta for the past eighteen years, died Sunday. Mr. Simms was 
forty-seven years old, and leaves a wife, who was formerly Miss Annie Welchel 
of Langdale, and two daughters, Mrs. Robt. Hightower, of Atlanta, and Mrs. 
Gaines Bolt, of Lanett.
  The body was bought to Lanett Sunday night and interred at Lanett Cemetery 
Monday, Rev. O. A.  Bonnor, conducting the funeral services.
