Smith Dies at Hospital Mrs. Eula Mae Smith, 68, of 29 Hobson Street, Plant City died Saturday, April 19, 1952 at Valley Hospital. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Shawmut Baptist Church and had been a resident of The Valley for 28 years. She was born March 11, 1886 in Tallapoosa County to Calvin and Ruthie Carter. Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. today at the Shawmut Baptist Church, the Rev. Maurice Hodgins officating. Burial will be in Shawmut Cemetery, Johnson and Blakley in charge. Mrs. Smith is survived by four sons; Arthur C., West Point, William J., Plant City, Sidney L., West Point, and Emmitt L. of Sylacauga, AL. Five daughters; Mrs. Charlie L. Danford, Shawmut, Mrs. Robert Pless, Manchester, Mrs. Jesse C. Morris, Langdale, Mrs. James C. DeLoach, Shawmut and Mrs. James R. Spradlin of Huguley; 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
