We are gratified to learn mat mere has been about double the acreage of land sown in wheat for the present crop as was last year. Mr. Pink Strickland, who resides just over the line, in Chambers County, and about eight miles from this place, sat up with a sick neighbor in the early part of the night, returned home, and next morning was found dead in his bed. He died as supposed with some heart disease. He was about sixty-one years of age and was a highly respected citizen.
