Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating. Mrs. Waldroup is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Donald) Coleman and Diane Benton; two sisters, Sarah Redmond Lipham and Mary Redmond Duncan; grandchildren, Donnie (Gina) Coleman, Matt (Kayla) Coleman, Tyler and Taylor Grace Coleman, Jay and Jesse Coleman, Debbie (Tim) Stevens, Brent (Jennifer) Folds, Madilyn Folds, Spencer and Barrett Folds, James B. Benton Jr., Connie (Benjamin) Ashe, Lauren Morris, Morgan Morris, Neil (Tanya) Fuller, Madison, Katelyn and Kelsey Fuller, Nathan (Amanda) Fuller, Brent and Nicole Fuller, Ned (Crystal) Fuller, Lane and Ren Fuller; and many nieces and nephews. Born Aug. 2, 1924 in Five Points, Mrs. Waldroup was the daughter of the late Edgar and Sadie Redmond. She was a long-time resident of Lanett. Mrs.Waldroup was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Waldroup, her daughter, Nancy Fuller; her sons- in-law, Nick Fuller and James Benton; her brothers, Elmer Redmond, Robert Redmond, James Redmond, Howard Redmond and Melvin Redmond; and her sister, Lillian Redmond Hilburn. The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Northridge Assisted Living, Dr. Michael Aiken and the staff and Vista Care Hospice for their special care of her. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Lanett First United Methodist Church or to a charity of one's choice.
