Mr. Watkins

Shawmutt - Mr. Homer Strain Watkins, 81, of Shawmut died Wednesday morning at 
Lanier Memorial Hospital.
Services are scheduled for today at 4 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Chapel with 
the Rev. James Bishop and the Rev. Junior Watkins officiating. Burial will 
follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rea Jordaqn Watkins; four daughters, 
Mrs. Frances W. Fuller of Fairfax, Mrs. Jean W. Cole of LaFayette, Mrs. Sue W. 
Howell of San Antonio, Texas and Mrs. Evelyn W. Henderson of Camp Hill; one 
brother Andrew Floyd Watkins of Huguley; 11 grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
A native of Tallapoosa County, Mr. Watkins had lived in LaFayette 36 years 
prior to his moving to the Valley area. He was a member of the Jackson Memorial 
Church and the LaFayette Masonic Lodge.
The family received friends Wednesday evening from 6 pm to 9 pm at the funeral 
home.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home of Langdale is handling the arrangements
