Mrs. Whitehead Dies;
Burial in Birmingham

   Mrs. James Whitehead, of Shawmut, died Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  Mrs Whitehead 
was a Miss Vines, of Birmingham, but had lived at Shawmut since her marriage 
eight years ago.  She was a member of the Methodist church and the funeral was 
prached at the Whitehead home by Rev. W. T. Daniel, pastor of the Methodist 
church.
   On Friday a special train carried a large funeral party of relatives and 
friends, by way of Standing Rock, to Birmingham where the interment occurred.
   Mrs. Whtehead had been desperately ill several weeks and failed to survive 
an operation performed some days a go.
   The bereaved husband and parents have the sympathy of a large circle of 
friends.
