Thomas J. Lett Home

In front of fence, left to right:  Tom Welch with grey mule, T. E. Hubert, 
Thomas J. Lett, Louisa Abernathy Lett.  Children on steps are Marvin and Myrtie 
Hubert.
 
Behind fence, left to right:  Ida Lett Coker, Louella Lett Turnham, Joann Lett 
Hubert, John H. Lett holding daughter Mary Lou Lett, and Ada Burgess Lett, wife 
of John H.
 
The Lett house was located in Section 10, Township 23, Range 25, about 1.5 
miles northwest of Rippville in NW Chambers County.  This house was typical of 
many pioneer homes built throughout the county prior to the War Between the 
States.  The house has been demolished.
