Born December 25, 1892 in Tallapoosa County, AL, the third child of Alfred Green
and Georgia Ann Musick Danford. Charlie first married Miss Berthel Messer of
Newsite, Tallapoosa County in 1913. They had one son, Martis W. Danford in May
1915, sadly Berthel died from complications due to the child birth. 
In 1922 Charlie met and married Miss Arrie Elizabeth Smith from Clay County, AL.
They had  two more sons and one daughter, and settled in the Shawmut mill house
area where they lived for 55 years until Charlie's death December 22, 1977.
