Arthur "Cortis" Smith was the first born child of William Thomas and Eula Mae 
Carter Smith on October 29, 1904 in Clay County, AL. About 1934 he married Miss 
Rosa Lee Taylor and they had one daughter, Billie Sue Smith Geise. He died 
March 29, 1981 in Fredonia, AL.
Cortis shares a double headstone with his wife and the creamated remains of his 
daughter and son-in-law, Billie Sue and Dennis Geise.
