Zula Mae was the daughter of William Thomas and Eula Mae Carter Smith. 
She was born in Tallapoosa Co., AL and on April 28, 1940 she married Robert 
Theron Pless also of Tallapoosa Co. they had three daughters. In May 1961 she 
remarried William J. Young of Chambers Co.
She had lived in the Valley are for most of her life and was a homemaker. She 
passed away July 31, 1990 at age 77 at the East Alabama Medical Center, 
Opelika, Lee Co., AL.
