Dorman Will Book No. 3, Pages 390 - 1&2 Chambers County, Alabama Written 25 April 1872 Recorded 13 December 1872 The State of Alabama, Chambers County I Wiley Dorman of the county and State aforesaid do hereby make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. Item 1st I give to my wife Elmina Dorman the tract of land on which I now live containing five hundred and sixty acres more or less also all of my Stock cattle hogs sheep horses mules together with all my household and kitchen furniture during her life time or widowhood and on the event of her death or marriage I direct that all the above named property be sold and divided equally between my children as named in last item or item 15th. Item 2nd I having given to my son Green W. Dorman three hundred and fifty dollars worth of land bed and furniture horse cow & calf hogs I give him nothing more. Item 3rd I having given to my son James M. Dorman three hundred and fifty dollars worth of land bed and furniture cow & calf I give him nothing more. Item 4th I having given to my daughter Sarah Wilson one negro girl by the name of Mahala one bed and furniture horse and cow & calf I give her nothing more. Item 5th I having given to my daughter Susan May a negro girl named Dinah and bed and furniture horse and cow & calf I give her nothing more. Item 6th I having given to my daughter Nancy C. Higgins one negro girl named Jane one bed and furniture horse cow & calf I give her nothing more. Item 7th I give to my Son Allen Dorman one horse cow & calf bed and furniture he gets nothing more until the death of my wife. Item 8th I give to my son Jessee Dorman one horse bridle & saddle cow & calf bed and furniture he gets nothing more until the death of my wife. Item 9th I give to my son William L. Dorman one horse cow & calf bed and furniture with that portion which he is to receive at the death of my wife as directed in the last item of this my last will and testament. Item 10th I give to my daughter Edney Bonner a bed and furniture one horse cow & calf together with that portion which she will receive at the death of my wife as directed in the last item of this my last will and testament. Item 11th I give to my son Henry Dorman a bed and furniture a cow & calf together with the portion he will receive at the death of my wife as directed in the last item in this my last will and testament. Item 12th I give to my daughter Catherine Dorman one bed and furniture cow & calf together with that portion she will receive at the death of my wife as directed in the last item of this my last will and testament. Item 13 I give to my daughter Cordelia Dorman one bed & furniture Cow & Calf together with that portion which she will receive at the death of my wife as directed in the last item of this my last will and testament. Item 14th I give to my Son Lee Andru Dorman a bed and furniture a Cow & Calf together with that portion he will receive at the death of my wife as directed in the last item of this my last will and testament. Item 15th Directed in the last item of this my last will and testament. It is my will and desire that all my property be kept together until all my debts be paid, (Should there be any at my death) It is furthermore my will and desire that at the death of my wife that my property be sold & equally divided between my children Allen Jessee William Henry Leandru Cordelia Catharine Dorman also Edney Bonner. I further direct that Henry Lee Catharine Cordelia Dorman receive one hundred & twenty five dollars in lieu of a horse bridle & saddle before a division is made. If [word omitted] of my children Should die before they become of age their portion shall revert back to my estate. I Nominate & appoint my Sons Allen Dorman and Wm. L. Dorman to be my Executors of this my last will and testament. Webb The State of Alabama Chambers County I John Appleby, in and for said county and state, do hereby certify that the within instrument of writing, has this day in said court, and before me, as the Judge thereof, been duly proven by the proper testimony, to be the last will and testament of Wiley Dorman, deceased; and that said will, together with said proof thereof, has been recorded in my office, in Book of Wills No. 3, Pages 390-1 & 2.
