Martin of Cherokee county, a white man who was sent up for life on November 16, 1899. Martin is 62 years of age at this time and according to the statements of Dr. J.M. Austin and Dr. R. A. Smith, he has but a short while to live. The relatives of the man killed have withdrawn their objection to his being paroled, in a s ense and The Governor, after hearing of his hopeless condition, issued a parole.
