VELONA M. MILLER FINDS PERFECT REST Mrs. Velona Mittlene Miller, 70, passed away at her home on Fort Payne, Route 1, Thursday night at 8:30 o’clock, following an illness of two weeks. She was born in Cherokee County near Gaylesville, and had lived in DeKalb County the past 39 years. For a number of years she resided in the Adamsburg community where she made numerous friends, for to know her was to love her, as she was known by hundreds as being a sweet and kind lady who was always ready to take an active part in anything that was for the good of her neighbors or the community in which she lived. This fine lady will be sorely missed, not only in her own community, but all over DeKalb and Cherokee Counties, for she was widely known. Mrs. Miller is gone, but her good tidings here on earth will leave a trace that can never be wiped away. She was a member of the Delmar Baptist Church, and from early girlhood had live a faithful Christian life, that only those who love their Master could live. Mrs. Miller has gone to live with her maker. She will never again have to suffer in this world. That we would live a life as she did, we would be doing much good. Goodbye, Mrs. Miller.
