Obituary Tuesday November 13, 1951. The Gadsden Times. Gadsden Alabama

Mrs. Texanna Ward, 83 Route 1 Gaylesville Ala., died Monday at 3:35 pm at her
residence after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday
at 2:00pm from the Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirby, the Rev. Mr.
Gennings and the Rev. A.W. Burleson officating. Burial will be following in the
adjoining cemetery. Burial handled by Perry Funeral Home.

Grandsons of Mrs. Ward will be the active pallbearers. Survisors include four
daughters, Mrs. M.S. Palmer, Eva Ala.,  Mrs. M. Tomlin, Jamestown Ala., Mrs.
Lissie Quinn and Mrs. Rene Sandford both of Gaylesville, Ala., four sons  Jim
Ward, Gadsden, Nathan Ward, Fort Payne, Theo Ward, Atlanta Ga. and Dolphus Ward
Gaylesville.

A native of Georgia Mrs Ward had spent the past 60 years in Cherokee County. She
was active church worker until the time of her illness.
