S. ACKER of Cherokee County and graduated from the Augusta, GA Medical college in 1857 when he bagan the practice of medicine in Spring Garden. He was married to Miss R. K. ACKER, daughter of Dr. Wm S. Acker in 1858. Was appointed Assistant Surgeon 12th Alabama Infantry in 1861 and served until 1864 when he resumed his practice in this county which he unremitedly with the exception of about two years spent in Missouri. Died in Spring Garden Oct 12th and buried October 13th at Carmel CHurch with Masonic Honors. A Brother- Dr. Thomas White, 2 sons and a daughter-Dr. W. Y. White and Attorney E. R. White and Mrs. W. H. Busbin of Rome, GA survive him. Additional Comments: Barnabus Pace White was the son of Nathaniel Hunt and Martha Pace White.
