A. Hannon died in Clanton this week. Born Talbotton, Ga. 11-23- 1832, was married to Capt. John H. Hannon May 1850, came to Clanton 1871. He died 9-2-1883. Mrs. Hannon, Mrs. W. H. Sartor and Mrs. Vinson made up money to build First Baptist Church of Clanton and she presented the Church its first Bible." Note: Frances Angelina Phillips (b. 23 Nov 1832 in Talbotton, Talbot Co., GA & d. 2 Oct 1916 in Clanton, Chilton Co., AL) married John H. Hannon (b. 20 Jul 1830 in Baldwin Co., GA & d. 2 Sep 1883 in Clanton, Chilton Co., AL) on 14 May 1850. He is buried in Clanton City Cemetery, Clanton, Chilton Co., AL.
