                                BECTON, SR.
 Mr. West Berry becton Sr.----A native of Choctaw Co. Al. and resident of 
Eight Mile, Al., died at the family residence Tuesday, June 17, 1997. He is 
survived by his wife, Mary Louise Becton; six children, Patricia (Ray) 
Hildreth of Semmes, Al., Lorraine ( Charlie) Jones of Eight Mile, Al., Debbie 
(Jimmy) Lowe of Saraland, Al., Berry (Stu) Padgett of Satsuma, Al., Lisa 
(Donny) Scarcliff of Mobile, Al., and West Berry Becton Jr. of Mobile, Al.; 
two sisters, Loris Britton and Edith Carlisle, both of Milry, Al.; one 
brother, Paul Becton of Tallahassee, Fla.; ten grandchildren; and nieces, 
nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 1997 
from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 
June 19, 1997 at 2pm from North Mobile First Baptist Church. The family will 
also receive friends beginning at 1pm on Thursday at the church. Interment 
will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, 
Saraland, Al.

West Berry was born 11-28-1926 to Louis David Becton Sr. and Essie Inez Lee 
Becton.
