Mr. Giles, who was a brother of J. G. Giles, marshall of Waynesboro, had lived practically his entire life in Wayne County. For years he resided in the Denham community, moving to Eucutta about two years ago. He had made a wide circle of friends who heard of his critical illness and subsequent dath with the profoundest regret. Surviving are his widow and the following children: Leslie and Jim of Ecutta, Mrs. Abbie Dell Abernathy of Jackson, Mrs. Nessie Dell Yarbrough, Samuel, Annie Grace, Tom, and Billie, all of Ecutta. Brothers and sisters surviving are J. G. of Waynesboro, Larkin of Silas, Mrs. N. D. Holston of Abilene, Texas, and Mrs. S. W. Holston of Ellisville. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Isney Baptist Church with the Rev. Greene of Waynesboro in charge, assisted by Revs. Mason and Johnson of Alabama. Interment was in the cemetery there with Freeman directing. Additional Comments: Stanton was born 11-9-1884 to James H. Giles and Elizabeth A. Lee Giles.
