Giles---A native of Choctaw County, Ala. and a resident of 242 E. Elm Street, Prichard, died at a local hospital, Wednesday, January 27, 1971, at 8:30pm. He is survived by seven sons, Lyman Giles of Waynesboro, Miss., Edward Giles, Lynwood Giles, and Frank E. Giles, all of Prichard, Carl Giles of Avon Park, Fla., Charlie Giles of Mobile, and Bill Giles of New Orleans; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Mae Lewis of Silas, Ala., Mrs. Carleen Toomey of Millry, Ala., and Miss Doris Ruth Giles of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Harry Giles of Grand Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Swan of Mobile and Mrs. Charles Davis of Waynesboro, Miss.; 35 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Miss., Friday, January 29, 1971 at 2:30pm. Interment will be in Aquilla Cemetery, Choctaw County, Ala. Arrangements by Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Miss. Additional Comments: Solen was born 1-15-1886 to W. Holloway Giles Sr. and Mary Jane Lee Giles. His wife was Callie Margaret "Margie" Connnor Giles who is also buried in the Aquilla Cemetery.
