 MRS. MARY GERTRUDE LOCKE-----A native of Choctaw County, Ala., a resident of 
Mobile for the past 31 years, died at the family residence, Farrell Lane, Bay 
Front Road, Sunday afternoon, Oct. 8, 1950 at 2 o'clock. She is survived by 
her husband, Mr. Jacob A. Locke; five daughters, Mrs. Fred Desport, Mrs. J. B. 
Haynes, Mrs. J. J. Ludvigsen, Mrs. Frank White, all of Mobile, Ala. and Mrs. 
George McNeill, New Orleans, La.; three sons, Alto A. Locke and Ralph C. 
Locke, Mobile, Ala. and Capt. Robert Lee Locke, US Army; two sisters, Mrs. 
Fannie Goleman, Whistler, Ala. and Mrs. Ursler Peterson, Saraland, Ala.; two 
brothers, Dan Lee, Mobile, Ala. and Curtis Lee, Attla, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; 
13 great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from 
the chapel of the Higgins Mortuary at an hour to be announced. Interment will 
be in the Magnolia Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Higgins Mortuary.

Additional Comments:
Mary was born 3-26-1866 to John W. Lee and F. Louisa "Ludie" 
Gordley/Gardy/Gordy Lee. Alabama death certificate #20805.
