(Jake) Locke----A native of Isney, Ala., and a resident of Mobile for 15 years, died at a local hospital, Monday, Oct. 10, 1966, at 5:45pm. He was a life member of the Chicora, Miss. Masonic Lodge No. 538 F&AM. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Juanita Desporte, Mrs. George (Beverly) West, Mrs. O. B. (Carmen) Kelsey, Mrs. Tom (Gwyn) Lane, all of Mobile, and Mrs. Joseph Franklin (Mary) White, Hawaii; three sons, Alto Locke, Mobile, Ralph Locke, Tuscaloosa, and Lt. Col. Robert Locke, Turkey; one sister, Mrs. Powell Davis, Chicora. Miss. and one brother, John Locke, Meridan, Miss.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Wednesday Oct. 12, 1966 at 3:30pm with interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street Ext. betwen Sage Avenue and the Belt Line is in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Jake was born 4-28-1881 to Judson LaFayette Locke and Sarah "Sallie" McKenzie Locke. His wife was Mary Gertrude "Gertie" Lee Locke who is also buried in Magnolia Cemetery.
