TERNIUM , both of Putnam Co., GA. $2,000 for 47 acs in 2nd District 356 and 83 acs in 366 (130 acs total) being in Baldwin (Now Putnam Co., GA) 13a.) James Savage buys this land back in 1813 , no further entry can be found in the deed books of Putnam co, Ga . However Thomas Bradford is advertising this land for sale in THE GEORGIA JOURNAL newspaper, 13b below. This land is the present day Oconee Springs State Park and the land lot reference coincides with the location of the park. 13b)Issue of October 12 , 1814 page 321 Putnam Mineral Springs . Having been requested by a number of my friends to sell some lots at the mineral springs, a quantity of them will be offered for sale on the premises (Putnam County , 20 miles above Milledgeville on the Oconee river) on Saturday the 5th day of November next, to the highest bidder for cash.
