Goff, of the Grove Hill Guards, paid us a visit last Monday though suffering from a severe wound in the right shoulder, and we were truly glad to see him and hear that he hopes soon to recover. He informs us that E. Wilburn Davis died in Richmond from his wound received in the late battle near that city, and that in addition to the wounded of the Guards is 3rd Lieut. Boutwell and private W. H. Kennedy. Capt. Sim. T. Woodard writes his brother R. J. Woodard, that R. J. Greene and J. T. Daugherty were also wounded in the battle, and J. J. Sentell was missing. All honor to the brave."
