Clarke County AlArchives Photo Place.....Store Of J F & J B Day ************************************************ Copyright. But since the photo is undated, the co-owner could have been John Franklin Day, Jr (20 AUG 1859, Clarke Co, AL - APR 1928, Brownwood, TX). J B Day, the other co-owner, is unidentified -- but if the photo is early enough he could have been John Franklin Day, Sr's son John Benjamin Day (12 NOV 1844, Clarke Co, AL - 10 SEP 1863). Additional Comments: Family tradition claims the store was operated by John Franklin Day, Sr, in the 1870s. He was listed in the 1880 census of Clarke Co. as a 'huckster' -- evidence of his proprietorship of the store.
