I have no idea what the number 33 represents.  It could be the year the article 
referenced was published.
 
Another note tablet sheet inserted in the Bible shows:
John A. Strickland Died the 27th. day of Jan. 1941 - at 10:30 P.m.
There is also a copy of the funeral notice inserted showing that the funeral 
services were 
held on January 29, 1941 at the North Coleman Baptist Church in Coleman, 
Texas.  Interment 
was in the City Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
"Sely Jane Strickland" should read Sealy (Celia) Jane Strickland.  Due to 
inadequate education my grandmother, Viola Vilula nee Elder Strickland, spelled 
names as they sounded to her, complete with mispronunciations.
