Note:  The oldest grave in the cemetery belongs to Elizabeth Burney Short.  She 
is the matriarch of most of those buried in the cemetery.  According to family 
tradition, she requested that she be buried at the foot of the steps of the 
school that sat there at the time.  The cemetery is still in use.  The cemetery 
sits across the road from the church.
