Methodist Church Cemetery Township 19, Range 9, Section 33 Barfield, Clay County Alabama Clay County Watchman May-1889: The M. E. Church, at Pleasant Hill, will hold a Sunday School Memorial, at 9 o'clock, on the second Sunday in May, in memory of the wife and daughter of Mr. B. H. Boak, and Joseph Bruce. All are respsctfully invited to attend. Lineville Headlight May 15, 1909: PLEASANT HILL One and a half miles northwest of Barfield old Sacred Harp singing every third Sunday evening commencing at one o'clock. C.M. Reynolds, President. W.M. Lineville Headlight Feb 25, 1916: Members of the Pleasant Hill Methodist church will meet Saturday March 4 at 1 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of voting on a location for new church building. Lineville Headlight Jun 17, 1921: Last Sunday we had the pleasure to attend the exercises at Pleasant Hill five miles north of town. The occasion was a Children's Day and placing bouquets of flowers on the graves in the little cemetery. The afternoon was given over for song service, The big, long table spread withe bounties from the farm kitchens made things pleasant and all minds were the same accord for this hour of the program. After dinner was over some of the best singing, we ever heard was rendered in nice style by the class. Miss Moton sang beautifully, "Will That Someday Be You.
