On this beautiful plat the members of Harmony Grove church, with the kindly help of their friends, propose to erect a house of worship. One acre of this land was an outright gift, the other was counted at the nominal sum of fifteen dollars. The donors showed the true Christian spirit in what they did and also in the kind words uttered regarding the membership of this new or organization and their future prospects. Apr 22, 1910, Ashland Progress: The Harmony Grove Methodist church, 3 miles east of Lineville, was blown down last Saturday and so badly damaged that it could not be put back in place. The building was new and had not been ceiled. It was dedicated the first Sunday in April. The new organ, which had been installed only a week, was reined. We hope to see the church rebuilt in a short time. The people of that community have set to work to rebuild. Mr. H.E. Boyd. one of the members of that, church, was in town Monday circulating a subscription for aid in rebuilding the church. He secured about $50. He said that his people greatly appreciated the assistance given them.
