The church was later re-opened by Rev. Ernest Knight with 30 members. By 1950 the church had around 50 members. The church building still stands today, but it has not been active in years. Ashland Progress: Sep 24, 1915, Bishop Leets of Atlanta, preached at Wright's Chapel Sunday and dedicated the splendid church building in a very impressive manner at the morning. He filled the pulpit again Sunday night. Jul 16, 1920: Rev. A. H. Nabors will preach at Wright's Chapel Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Plans are being made for a revival meeting to begin there the first Sunday in August. A large bush arbor will perhaps be arranged for the meeting. Sep 14, 1923: C. T. Brannan reports a good revival meeting in progress at Wright's Chapel a few miles south-east of town. Rev. Hardin, the pastor, is doing the preaching and there has already been several accessions to the church. Feb 02, 1928: N. W. West who passed away at his home in the Wright Chapel community Wednesday. January 25. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. John H. Williams of this city was held Thursday and the remains were laid to rest in a new burying ground at Wright's Chapel, the grave being the first one made there. The deceased had been a resident of that community since 1914. [Note: Grave was moved to Green's Chapel in Randolph County AL., THERE IS NO CEMETERY at Wright's Chapel today.] Mar 30, 1939: To all the people who live in the neighborhood of Wright's Chapel and Lystra church we extend a hearty invitation to attend the new school that has just been set up here. If you are not already enlisted come next Sunday at 9:45 to the new school supplies are already on hand and we are already to go with the coming of the new quarter. J. W. MAY, Supt. C. W. Nov 5, 1953: The pastor of Ashland Circuit takes great pleasure in making this announcement, that on Tuesday, Nov. 10, an old time working will be held at Wright Chapel Methodist Church to dress the church with a new top, and to add in the near future a new paint job with several other jobs. The ladies will bring lunch. We will appreciate any help on this date, and also any help in the near future. Rev. Ernest Knight. Nov 26, 1953: I wish to express my appreciation to the people that has given their money and sweat of the brow to make old Wright Chapel to be a New Wright Chapel. A great progress has been made thus far. We wish you would come by see us, and see the church from time to time, as we will not let up until we reach the goal that we have set. To Lineville Methodist Church, God bless you, everyone that made it possible to give us a $100.00 check. And to the ladies that has been so sweet to bring lunch and spread for the working men.
