Jenkins, on the 17th day of January 1859, and Recorded in Register of Deeds, Book L, Pages 102 and 103, in the county of Talladega, and State of Alabama, to secure certain debt in said deed named, I will proceed to sell on Monday, the 15th day of February, 1869, before the Court House door, in the town of Talladega within the legal hours of sale, at public outcry, to the highest for cash, the following do bidder for scribed lands, to wit; The Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter, and the Northeast quarter of section 20. The West half of the Northwest quarter, section 28, The Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter, section 29. The west half of the Southwest quarter. The Northeast quarter of Southwest quarter., the West half of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter in section 21. and the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter, section 7. All of said lands in Township 19, Range 7. Also, an undivided interest of one half of three-fourths of the North half of the Northwest quarter section 29, Township 19, Range 7. Also, three fourths of the mineral interest in the West half of the South cast quarter of section 21. Also, one fourth interest in the minerals on the West half of the Southeast quarter, and the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter section, all in Township 19, range 7, and now lying in the county of Clay, and State of Alabama together with all the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto belonging. Jenkins and Joe Freeman, of Clay County had a desperate fight on Christmas morning, which was terminated by Jenkins getting hold of his gun und shooting Freeman dead.
