Be it remembered that on this day came Robert S. Wood, by his attorney Hugh Montogomery and filed his petition in writing praying the Court to compell William Wood. Administrator of Jas. M. Twilley, deceased, to convey to; the said Robert S. Wood, titles to the following lands to wit: the Northeast fourth of the Southeast fourth of Section 6, Township 21. and Range 9, East, in the Coosa Land District; which lands as aforesaid, the said James M. Twilley did in his lifetime, bind himself by bond to convey to said petitioner, Robert S. Wood, as aforesaid it is therefore ordered and decreed that notice be given once a month for three months in the Jacksonville Republican, to all persons interested, that on the second Monday in June next, there will be held a Probate Court in the town of Wedowee that the court will if it is found that the contract was fairly made, order the Administrator aforesaid, to make titles as such to the land aforesaid to the said Robert S. Wood. JOSEPH BENTON Judge of Probate. March 25, 1851. Additional Comments: On April 8, 1848, Robert S. Wood transferred at land patent to James M. Twilley in TS: 21, Range: 9, Sect: 19 of 40 acres. James M. Twilley must have died soon after. By 1850 his widow Adeline Twilley had married Afred Robbins.
