Aid to Paupers

It is ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate draw his warrant on the 
County Treasurer in favor of the following warned persons for the several 
amounts following and set opposite their names, said persons having been 
adjudged Paupers by the Court, the same to be paid out of any money in the 
County Treasurer not otherwise appropriated wiz:

In favor of RICHARD BARKSDALE, for the sum of three dollars per month from 
January 1st to Oct. 1st of the current year, and four dollars per month for 
the remainder of the year, after deducting amount paid for clothing

MRS. LYDIA SCOTT, five dollars as preferred claim and three dollars per month 
for the remainder of the year.

MRS. LUCINDA PACK, ten dollars preferred claim, and three dollars per month 
for the remainder of the year.

MRS. WINNY DE VORE, five dollars and three dollars per month for remainder of 
the year.

MRS. ELIZABETH ANDERSON, five dollars & three dollars per month, as above.

MRS. CATHERINE SPIKES, five dollars & three dollars per month, as above.

DANIEL CHARACTER & WIFE, ten dollars & three dollars per month, as above.

MRS. PARISH application for aid as pauper was continued for want of 
information as to her condition.

Additional Comments:
Daniel & Jemima Character are my GGGgrandparents. They are buried in Old 
PLeasant Grove Cemetery, Clay Co. Al.
